Before studying Hebrew/Aramaic, I studied Penjabi and its alphabet very close to nagari alphabet, with the same principles and phonetic. |
What is the current understanding for hebrew alphabet ? : |
It helps me thinking to this hypothesis : the Hebrew/Aramaic alphabet works in the same way.So, I read it in another way :there are 16 consonants and 6 vowels in hebrew, the 1rst, the 5th,and the 6th letter for example. |
the 22 letters are only consonants and vowels are not written in ancient manuscripts, so we should add some informations (points,...) in text, for beginners, in order to know the prononciation of the words. |
This letters compose the Tetragram which give that , with french prononciation : i-é-ou-é , no consonants, only vowels in the word.If we look at the meaning of iowa (prononciation of jehovah) with this way of understanding of this alphabet, we find in hebrew / aramaic dictionnary : twisted for example. |
For example, the most frequent word in the "old testament" name for christians or "Tanach" for jews, written in Hebrew / Aramaic , the tetragram, (7000 times approximately ) the so-called name of god, is said being only 4 consonants, Y/J H W H, and vowels are added :Jehovah's wittnesses write it in english "jehovah" with the pronociation we know. |
For example the word "Cain" and "manufacturing" are the same words in this text.(q-i-n).Here, it helps a better understanding of the text,or in other situations, seing the incoherences of the writting. |
Jehovah's Wittnesses prononce this word which is said not pronounceable.Their strange understanding of this alphabet hides some understanding. With the different writtings, seen in the protestant dictionnary Strong's but not in the jewish dictionnary of etymology, punctuation added to one word,to differentiate the word q-i-n (manufacturing) from the other, the name "Cain", hide the link.I have seen that even with speakers of modern hebrew. They do not make the link with words with the same key letters without punctuation, and ignore the etymology of the word, generally. |
